I was responsible for preparing the Workshop poster. In this section, I designed the poster and tried to condense the information so that it could fit within the suggested size. This job required me to organize and discuss ideas with the main author in order to come up with the final design concept. Then we must submit this design to our supervisor and receive feedback from her. My teammates and I received concise and useful feedback from our supervisor, and we realized that we needed to be more careful about organizing the most important parts in the poster. This lesson should be put into account if we have more opportunities to take part in any workshops in the future.
My teammates and I had to conquer many challenges including planning, time-managing and problem-solving. This part was actually the most challenging one because in just six to seven minutes, each member needed to demonstrate the best teaching practices that he or she had prepared.
I was not in charge of this part but I understood what my teammates had to prepare. I figured out that though we were not the ones presenting the contents, we should try to keep track of everything in case something bad happens. I was so glad that my friends did really well in this section, and this is the best opportunity for me to learn many precious things. I believed that they would have the same ideas as I did, and I hoped that we could get more chances to participate in such memorable and meaningful occasions as this one in the near future.
