HUYNH DUC THINH

I got to visit Thai Binh Duong University (TBDU), where I would do a lot of things, such as my class observation, micro-teaching, and workshop. I participated in a workshop titled ‘Current Issues in English Language Teaching (ELT) in Vietnam’. It is true that the workshop provided me with an opportunity to explore current issues in ELT, engage in interactive discussion, and apply knowledge in a practical manner.
I took responsibility for the warm-up session. After my warm-up session, the class seemed to be more active and ready for the new lesson. I felt satisfied with my performance.

The last activity that I joined took place in the afternoon on the third day of the practicum trip. I am honored to be chosen by all of my group members to become a seminar presenter as one of the two representatives of our group, along with Ms. Truc Vy. Overall, our group conducted a seminar regarding tips and strategies to improve listening skills quite successfully, in my opinion. It is obvious that the students at the Naval Academy really had a funny and happy moment to enjoy our presentation.
In addition to the main activities in the practicum, I was also in charge of being a shipping assistant. Due to the fact that I’m not good at singing or dancing, I cannot perform anything at the gala dinner. Being one of the shipping assistants, I could learn how to be careful with cargo. I was really honored and happy to take and preserve remarkable gifts and souvenirs bought in Ho Chi Minh City to bring to beloved lecturers at TBDU.
